Job Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable and engaging Technical Trainer with expertise in the automotive field. The role involves designing, developing, and delivering training programs that enhance the technical skills and product knowledge of employees, technicians, and service personnel. The ideal candidate will have strong automotive technical experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex concepts into practical, hands-on learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and deliver automotive technical training programs for technicians, service staff, and other stakeholders.
- Develop training content, manuals, technical guides, e-learning modules, and assessment tools.
- Conduct classroom and workshop-based training sessions, including hands-on demonstrations and diagnostic exercises.
- Stay updated with new automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and industry standards.
- Support the launch of new vehicle models and technologies through structured training programs.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with engineering, service, and product teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date training content.
- Provide post-training support, troubleshooting guidance, and technical resources for learners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Technical Trainer, Automotive Instructor, or similar role.
- In-depth technical knowledge of automotive systems (engine, transmission, electronics, diagnostics, hybrid/EV technologies).
- Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Experience in developing training materials and using modern training tools (LMS, e-learning, simulation).
- Industry certifications (e.g., ASE, IMI, OEM certifications) are highly desirable.
