Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Parts Salesman to join our successful automotive division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales of automotive parts, providing expert advice, and building strong, lasting relationships with our clients. Responsibilities

  • Follow up on parts orders to ensure that customers have been served properly.
  • Obtain Parts managers approval for any special pricing.
  • Review any special orders with the parts manager and obtain his approval.
  • Act as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
  • Assist walk in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
  • According to customer requirements and as per the model detail, specify the correct part numbers from Parts Catalogue, microfiche, CD and prepare the parts quotations, picking slips & invoices through the computer.
  • Answer the phone calls, providing price quotes and other information's.
  • Promote various types of sales items and try to get additional business every month.  
  • Non- availability, lost sales report to Parts Manager for necessary action.
  • Lost sales to be generated thru system, if we do not have the stock as per the customer's requirements.
  • Fill all sections in customer complaints forms every time you receive any sort of complaint including verbal in dealership, by phone, by letter, fax or email & hand over to Parts Manager every day.
  • Take full responsibility and sort out any complaint immediately.
  • Be friendly, professional and efficient when working with all customers, both on the phone and in person.
  • Ensure all the Sales invoices & Credit notes are signed by the customers.
  • Performs other related tasks jobs as assigned by the Management from time to time.
  • Participate in all training programs that are made available.



Qualifications
• Proven experience in an automotive parts sales or parts advisor role is essential.
• Strong and comprehensive knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and components.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• A customer-first mindset with a demonstrable commitment to providing exceptional service.
• Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using computerised inventory management systems and electronic parts catalogues.
• A technical qualification related to the automotive industry would be considered an advantage.
